Welcome to the Sandlie Men's Club!  We invite you to join us spending your Saturday mornings enjoying  a round of golf and the camaraderie of our Men's Club.   We encourage all those considering  an Associate Membership to join us as full members so that they may also participate in the monthly tournaments.   Unfortunately, there are no Men's Club priviledges with an Associate Membership.

The board welcomes input from all members and always needs members who will step up and fill vacant chair positions, as needed, for 2009-10.

Membership Fees: 
Men's Club Membership fee for 2009 is $60.00. This entitles you to an OGA membership, a GHIN handicap, Saturday Men's Club tee times, club tournaments, and the ability to purchase block of green fees. 
Associate Membership fee 2009 is $50.00. This entitles you to an OGA membership and a GHIN handicap.   Juniors 18 and under can get a handicap for free.   Women may also receive a handicap and we would encourage any women to consider forming their own Ladies Club!

TOURNAMENT DATES 2009

Tournament Dates for 2009:
March 28        4 Man Scramble
April 18          4 Man Red, White and Blue Tourney.  # of scores used based on the flag color for the hole (Red, 1, White 2, Blue 3)
May 16          Individual Spring Championship A & B Flights, Low Net and Gross Ball
June 13    2 Man Devil Tournament (666).6 Holes Scramble, 6 Holes Best-Ball, 6 Holes Chapman.
 July 18          2  Man String Scramble A & B Flights
Aug. 15-16  Club Championship A, B & C Flights Low Net & Gross 
Sept 12        2 Man Reno A & B Flights
October 24    4 Man Shamble
Nov. 14         3 Club + 1 Putter

Trophies will be awarded for the Club Championship only.

The tournament entry fee is $40 for all tournaments except the Club Championship. The entry fee for the Club Championship is $80 and includes a buffet lunch on Sunday, August 16th. 
Note:  The course will be taking credit cards this year, but all Tournament Fees must be paid with cash or check.

LOCATION:
 All Saturday Play will be on the regular course with the exception of the month of October. In October, the Canyon Course will be played

REGULAR TOURNAMENT PLAY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be full member of Sandelie Men's Club.
Must have an established handicap with 5 scores posted within the past 12 months.
Members who sign up for tournaments and don't have recent scores posted may be subject to handicap adjustment based on tournament posted scores 

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT REQUIREMENTS.
Regular Tournament Play requirements apply.
Must play in 2 Regular Tournaments
Special cases will no loner be made for Club Championship.  If you do not qualify you can play on that weekend but you will not be eligible for the tournament. You will be eligible for long putt and KP's. 

Tournament Flags:
We have eliminated Long Drives this year.  They will be replaced by 2 additional Long Putt holds and 4 additional KP's (in 2 shots) on par 4 holes.  This is intended to give players of all ages and handcips more chances to win a prize.

Tournament Cut-Off Day and Time: Tournament sign up will be cut off on Wednesday at 6:00 pm the week of the tournament. Call 503-655-1461 to sign up for the Men's Club Tournaments.

Power Carts:
When signing up for the tournaments or regular Saturday play, please let the person know if you need to use a cart when signing up.
Tournament Mornings:
Registration will begin at 6:45 am and cease at 7:25 am. If you sign up and that morning you find that you cannot play, CALL the clubhouse at 503-655-1461.
NO SHOW-NO CALL Policy
 "No Show-No Call" is defined as any member who signs up for a tournament and who does not call by 7:15 am Saturday to cancel his participation in the tournament.  If you "No Show-No Call" you will not be eligible to play in the next tournament.

TOURNAMENT PAIRINGS:
Tournament chairs will make the pairings for the Tournaments.  If you must ride in a cart, contact the tournament chairs well in advance of the tournament.  It is unfrair to rearrange groupings at 7:30 am on the tournament day.  The rule the board has adopted is no changes.  Sorry.

NON-TOURNAMENT SATURDAYS:
Both Regular and Associate Members need to call the Clubhouse at 503.655.1461 by 6 pm on Thursday to sign up to play on Non-Tournament Saturdays.  Tee times start at 7:45 am.  Members will form their own foursomes.  Pot games and circle games are available.  If you cannont show call the clubhouse and cancel!

ANNUAL AWARDS:
Sandelie Men;s Club gives out annual awards for the Most Improved Golfer and the Tournament player of the year. 

BLOCK GREEN FEES
This special will be available for Men's club members.  Weekend blocks of 9-holes will be available to Men's Club members.  Price TBD (30 9-hole rounds).  Seniors can also purchase blocks of 9-holes for the weekday.  Must be purchased by April 30th.

SPECIAL RULES & GUIDELINES FOR THE MEN'S CLUB:
-No more OB on Hole 18
- Winter Rules.  You are allowed to adjust your ball by 6", no closer to the hole , anywhere from tee to green with the following exceptions:
- A ball next to a boundary fence
- A ball in hazard
- A ball within 36" of a tree over 8' tall.

FREE DROP.  You get a free drop from any tree under 8' tall that interferes with either your swing or stance.  The drop must be taken within 1 club length of the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.
SLOW PLAY.  The course management continues to contend that the Men's club plays slow during 18-holes.  We ask that you record your tournament groupings start, turn and finish times on your scorecards.  The tournament scorecards will have a place to record these times.  We the board, thank you for your cooperation with this.
HANDICAP CARDS & LOCAL NUMBER
- The handicap cards and stickers can be found in the binder to the left of the computer.
-You can find your local number posted on the bulletin board on the wall to the right of the computer.
